Lily James may no longer be rocking the bleach-blonde mane and French-tipped claws she wore as Baywatch bombshell Pamela Anderson in Pam & Tommy, but she still knows how to look like a star. The actor arrived at the 2022 Emmy Awards in a custom, draped chainmail Versace dress.
The Emmy-nominated actor hit the gold carpet in the form-fitting iridescent gown with her long, auburn hair cascading down her back and minimal gold jewellery.
For her makeup look, the actor opted for a bronzey smokey-eye and nude lip. The chainmail draping appears to be a nod to the chainmail and safety-pin Versace mini dress James wore to the 2021 Met Gala After Party in May. And it is giving us all kinds of nineties Versace vibes.

Lily James is nominated for best leading actress in a limited or anthology series or movie against Margaret Qualley (Maid), Sarah Paulson (Impeachment: American Crime Story), Amanda Seyfried (The Dropout), Julia Garner (Inventing Anna), and Toni Collette (The Staircase). This is the actor's first Emmy nomination, but it surely won't be her last.
“I’m so proud because we were really in it together and felt so joined in our ambition to really try and do something with this," she told Deadline after the nominations were announced. "So I’m so happy and so thrilled we’re both in this mad situation. It makes it way better.”
She also shared her joy on Instagram. “Still reeling from this incredible honour @televisionacad thank you so much. Insane! I feel so eternally grateful to have worked with such exceptional people, who always worked their hardest to bring authenticity, empathy, and honesty to everything we did," she wrote at the time.

James was effusive in praising her co-star Sebastian Stan, who also snagged a nomination for his work on the Hulu limited series. “What can I say… you are KING!! The best partner I could have wished for. United from day one. Acting opposite you was the biggest thrill! ❤️🔥”
