Japanese automaker Nissan will promote its Russian property, together with a manufacturing facility in Saint Petersburg, to the Russian authorities, the Ministry of Trade and Commerce in Moscow stated yesterday.

The announcement comes after Nissan suspended manufacturing on the plant in Russia’s second metropolis in March, shortly after Moscow despatched troops to Ukraine.
“Nissan’s govt committee accepted the sale of its Russian property to the Russian Federation. This contains Nissan’s manufacturing and analysis amenities in Saint Petersburg in addition to a gross sales and advertising heart in Moscow,” the ministry stated in a press release.
Below the phrases of the deal Nissan “can purchase again its share inside the subsequent six years,” it added.
